Program Officer, Industry Program

Dr. Wentao Qian has been a Program Officer of Energy Foundation China’s Industry Program since July 2023. She supports the Program Director on strategy development, fundraising, and grants management. After joining the foundation in May 2020, she spent her first three years at the Environmental Management Program. Before that, she was a senior engineer at the Beijing Municipal Research Institute of Environmental Protection, covering topics including regional and local air pollution control plans, air pollutant and GHG co-control policy assessments, permit system design, and environmental and economic analysis. Dr. Qian holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Renmin University of China.She also has a Master’s degree in Environmental Science and a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, both from University of Science and Technology Beijing.
