In May 2023, the Natural Resources Defense Council and the China Electric Vehicle Association jointly released this report about how to optimize the construction and operation of electric vehicle charging infrastructure in China, based on their analysis of what is happening in Shanghai. The report was supported by Energy Foundation China.

From 2022 to 2023, Energy Foundation China supported a research team led by Lu Keding from Peking University to study how to cut ozone, fine particulate matter (PM2.5), and greenhouse gas emissions at the same time.

In July 2023, with the support of Energy Foundation China, the Integrated Transport Research Center of China at Beijing Jiaotong University released this research report discussing how to strike a balance between high-speed rail (HSR) and air transport that can help China achieve its dual goals for carbon peaking and neutrality early.

In June 2023, Shanxi Coshare Innovation Institute of Energy and Environment released this report analyzing how to achieve just transition in counties of the coal-dependent Chinese province Shanxi. Energy Foundation China supported the research.

In June 2023, with the support from Energy Foundation China, CABR EET, an company affiliated to the Institute of Building Environment and Energy, released this summary report presenting a carbon neutrality-compatible pathway of using heat pumps for residential heating in the winter.

In June 2023, with the support of Energy Foundation China, Beijing Tsinghua Tongheng Urban Planning and Design Institute released this report summarizing the progress of low carbon technologies around the world.

In June 2023, with the support of Energy Foundation China, RMI released this summary report reviewing how China’s southeastern port Ningbo builds the Meishan Carbon Neutrality Demonstration Zone.

In May 2023, with the support of Energy Foundation China, Tsinghua University released this report presenting how cities in China can attain air quality standard and peak their carbon emissions at the same time.

In 2023, Clean Air Asia, School of Environment at Tsinghua University, and the National Big Data Alliance of New Energy Vehicles jointly released this research report reviewing how Chinese trucks progressed in 2022 in terms of cutting their carbon and criteria pollutant emissions. The study was supported by Energy Foundation China and compiled by Clean Air Asia.
