Senior Program Associate, Strategic Communications

Ms. Yidan Sun is a Senior Program Associate of Energy Foundation China’s Strategic Communications Program, supporting the program’s strategy-making, fundraising, grants management, and partnership. Prior to joining the foundation in February 2023, she was a reporter at Sanlian Lifeweek, a well-respected magazine in China, covering the environment beat and breaking news. During her two years at Sanlian, she was also a project manager of the magazine’s first City for Humanity Award in 2020, responsible for content production, event planning and implementation, project management, and partnership with regard to green buildings, urban renewal, and sustainable neighborhoods.

Ms. Sun holds a Master’s degree in Journalism from Boston University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Chinese Language and Literature, with a double major in English, from Beijing Foreign Studies University.
