Background The world is facing multiple challenges, including geopolitical risks, high inflation, economic downturns, energy supply constraints, and industry chain disruptions. Meanwhile, the impacts of extreme weather on ecology, economy, and energy supply are escalating. It is urgent to address climate change. At this critical juncture, countries need to take positive climate action to achieve sustainable economic and social development while ensuring energy security and economic growth. This forum will focus on goals and actions, and hold in-depth discussions on topics including how to promote pragmatic and balanced progress in global climate governance; how countries can accelerate ambitious domestic climate actions; and how to address the new situation of global climate governance and promote global climate change ambition through competition and cooperation.
