SUMMARY:

Under the supervision of the Senior Advisor, the Consultant, Project Quality Management is responsible for managing the quality and effectiveness of EF China’s projects. This role involves project quality management administration, MRE plan development, EF China’s program team relations, events organization and logistics support. The consultant will work closely with program teams, grantees, and external stakeholders to enhance project performance and impact.The ideal candidate is preferred to have the combination of field knowledge and MRE experience in NGO sector.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Projects Quality Management

  • Administrate the process in EF China’s project quality management system, drafting annual workplan and filling in necessary information to initiate the project monitoring, reporting and evaluation, following up in the life time of grant period, and compiling  evaluation reports at the closing of the projects;
  • Support Senior Advisor to develop and implement project quality management frameworks to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of funded initiatives;
  • Establish quality control standards and best practices for project planning, execution, and evaluation;
  • Conduct routine assessments and reviews of ongoing projects to ensure alignment with EF China’s strategic objectives and compliance requirements;
  • Support the Senior Advisor to monitor project progress, help organize and attend meetings at various stages of the project and follow through to support ensuring desirable deliverables and outcomes;
  • Ensure proper documentation and reporting of project quality management processes and findings.

Collaboration and Partnership

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate continuous improvement in project execution and reporting;
  • Manage appointed experts for EF China’s MRE works, and provide logistic supports in the evaluation process; organize evaluation meetings and events, with support from each program; maintain the list of partners for MRE related work, assist in inviting external experts to support EF China’s project meetings and workshops;
  • Share knowledge, expertise, critical information and networks with other colleagues to increase support and demonstrate shared purpose.

Others

  • Assist the Senior Advisor to draft reporting materials, such as annual report and work plan to EF China’s Management Team and the board;
  • Provide backup support for colleagues when necessary;
  • Undertake additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the Senior Advisor.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Education: Master’s degree or above, preferably in a related field of environment, energy and climate, or other related majors etc. Deep interest in project quality management notably MRE work.
  • Working Experience: About 6-8 years of work experience in environment and climate change, preferably in NGO MRE work and project management.
  • Language Skills: Proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese.
  • Process Management: Ability to design and manage financial and compliance-related processes, clearly communicating with stakeholders.
  • Communication: Strong ability to logically articulate key messages, actively listen, and communicate effectively in public settings.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and analyze key issues, propose solutions, and resolve challenges independently.
  • Service Orientation: A commitment to meeting organizational goals and stakeholder needs with a proactive, can-do attitude.
