An Evaluation Index System for Climate-Friendly Financial Institutions

In July 2020, the CECEP Environmental Consulting Group completed this research report on how to evaluate climate-friendly financial institutions, with support from Energy Foundation China. The evaluation indicators in the report for climate-friendly banking institutions aim at accommodating to both international standards and China’s requirements for green finance, green credits, and climate investment, in an effort to accelerate the low carbon transition of Chinese financial institutions. This research also hopes to help enhance financial institutions’ climate goals and China’s policy aspirations in this important topic.
