Research and Policy Suggestions on Roadmap of Infrastructure Construction to Support Hainan’s 2030 New Energy Vehicle Development Goal

In 2020, the China Automotive Technology and Research Center released this report on Hainan’s electric vehicle charging infrastructure with support from Energy Foundation China.

The report investigates and analyzes the current development status and operational mode of the charging infrastructure in Hainan Province. Combing advanced experiences obtained at home and abroad, this report proposes a roadmap for developing charging infrastructure in Hainan Province.

The researchers hope the report findings can help Hainan Province achieve its ambitious 2030 new energy vehicle development goal. Specifically, the report advises on the volume of charging stations ought to be deployed at different stages, namely, during year 2020–2025 and 2025–2030, to various application fields.
