Director, Corporate Communications

Mr. Gang Shen is the Director of Corporate Communications at Energy Foundation China. He leads the corporate communications team to build Energy Foundation China’s brand and demonstrate its strengths and unique values. His responsibilities cover media relations, brand management, internal and external communications support, and issue management.

Mr. Shen is a veteran in media and communications. Before joining Energy Foundation China, he was the Deputy Secretary General of the International Finance Forum (IFF), a high-level platform for dialogue and multilateral cooperation in the field of global finance, where he was in charge of external communications, government relations, and media relations. Prior to working at IFF, he worked as the spokesperson and communications head of Anbang Insurance Group. Earlier he served as the spokesperson of Shell in China. He started his career as a media professional in 1999 and worked for China Daily for 15 years.

Mr. Shen holds a Master’s degree in Media Practice from the University of Sydney and a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature from Xi’an International Studies University.
