Jane Ji
Grants Manager

Ms. Jane Ji is a Grants Manager at The Energy Foundation, serving as a key liaison between the Beijing office and the U.S. grants team. She works in day-to-day grants administration, conducts due diligence checks to ensure compliance with U.S. and Chinese laws and regulations, and collaborates closely with program staff. Assisting the Foundation’s Director of Grants Management, Jane contributes to the ongoing development of the grants function by streamlining processes and policies, developing grant-related materials, and facilitating training. She also plays a critical role in maintaining the integrity of the Grants Database System.
Jane brings over ten years of experience in grantmaking across state government and nonprofit organizations. Prior to joining the Foundation in January 2022, she served as a Project Manager at Empire State Development, a New York State government agency, where she managed funding processes and performed financial analyses. Previously, Jane worked as a Grants Manager with the Nebraska Arts Council, where she reviewed grant applications, monitored compliance requirements, and managed grant data and budgets.
Jane holds a Master’s degree in Economics from Shanghai Normal University and a Master’s degree in Management from Syracuse University.
