Regional Director, East China

Joined in January 2026, Ms. Qianrong Huang is the Regional Director of the East China at The Energy Foundation. She is primarily responsible for advancing the Foundation’s mission in East China, including setting regional strategic goals, managing partnerships, optimizing project implementation, and integrating regional insights. She supports the organization’s regional green and low-carbon work and the achievement of sustainable development goals.

Prior to joining the Foundation, Ms. Huang accumulated 13 years of extensive experience in urban planning and sustainable urban regeneration. She also worked for leading international design firms and international non-profit organizations.

Ms. Huang holds a Master’s degree in Architecture and Urban Design from Columbia University, as well as a Bachelor of Engineering in Urban Planning and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Wuhan University.
