Senior Program Officer, Industry

Ms. Wentao Qian is Senior Program Officer for the Industry Program. She supports the Program Director on strategy development, fundraising, and grants management. Prior to joining The Energy Foundation in May 2020, she had been long engaged in research on regional and local air pollution control plans, air pollutant and GHG co-control policy assessments, permit system design, and environmental and economic analysis.

Ms. Qian holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Renmin University of China, and a Master’s degree in Environmental Science and a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, both from University of Science and Technology Beijing.
