Senior Legal Counsel

As the Senior Legal Counsel, Ms. Zhifang Liu provides legal advice to The Energy Foundation, working with the Board, management team, internal staff, and external lawyers to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. Prior to joining the Foundation in February 2019, she has served as legal counsel for an international nonprofit organization and a private corporation, overseeing legal affairs for multiple offices across East Asia and participating in several EU and U.S. legal compliance projects.

Ms. Liu holds a Juris Doctor degree from the James E. Rogers College of Law, University of Arizona, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Law from Ocean University of China. Ms. Liu is a certified lawyer of the State of New York.
