EF China and China Southern Power Grid Signed a MOU

A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Energy Foundation China (EF China) and China Southern Power Grid Co., Ltd (CSG) on August 17 in Guangzhou. EF China President Zou Ji and CSG Director-General for International Cooperation Wang Lin signed the memorandum on behalf of the two parties. For the next three years, EF China and CSG will cooperate in areas like regional power market, economic dispatch, and smart micro grid, in a joint effort to promote power sector decarbonization in China.

CSG in its capacity as one of the world’s largest power utilities, and EF China as an international non-profit dedicated to sustainable energy development, share a vision of a clean, reliable, flexible, and efficient electricity system, and recognize that such transition presents both significant challenges and opportunities. Cooperation between the two parties will contribute to the green, low-carbon transition of CSG, and help explore best practices for China’s new growth path.
