Ji ZOU Gave Carbon Lecture to Three Gorges Corporation

In mid-August, Ji ZOU, CEO and President of Energy Foundation China, was invited to deliver a lecture about technology, investment, and policy support for the achievement of China’s carbon peaking and neutrality goals to China Three Gorges Corporation (CTG), the world’s largest hydropower development enterprise. Since the corporation constructed the Three Gorges Dam, the hydroelectric power plant that went into operation in 2008, it has grown into the largest low carbon energy group in China, with investment also in wind and solar power stations.

Through a combination of on-line and off-line training, this lecture witnessed the presence of CTG’s Chair and Secretary of the Leading Party Group Mingshan LEI, Member of the Leading Party Group and Deputy General Manager Tingyan LYU, Chief Economist Haibin WU, Deputy Chief Engineer Bin LI, and nearly 1,000 employees at CTG’s headquarters and branches across the country.

Mr. LEI also discussed with Ji ZOU on how CTG can make full use of its low carbon portfolio to support China and provinces/cities realizing the carbon peaking and neutrality goals. They also talked about potential cooperation opportunities between CTG and Energy Foundation China.
