Introduction to the Environmental Management Program
As a result of China’s rapid growth in recent decades, the country has experienced high levels of air and water pollution, much of which is linked to the way energy is produced and used.
The Environmental Management Program focuses on addressing air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions, promoting a system for synergistic pollution reduction and carbon mitigation. The program focuses on research and practical applications that cover industry-level emission reduction technologies, integrated environmental improvements, management systems, and urban-rural innovation. The program also provides research and knowledge to inform national and local regulations and policies in order to facilitate sustainable outcomes in energy, water, and the broader environment.
