In September 2020, the National Center for Climate Change Strategy
Research and International Cooperation released this report supported by Energy Foundation China (EF China) on China’s climate governance and international cooperation strategies.

One of the 18 sub-projects of EF China’s flagship project on China’s long-term deep decarbonization strategy, this report summarizes the landscape and history of global climate governance, assesses the effectiveness of the Paris Agreement, and analyzes the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. It also formulates a long-term global climate governance strategy for China to play a leadership role in the global fight against climate change.
