In April 2022, with support from Energy Foundation China, Tsinghua University and the Jinan Environmental Research Academy released this research report on how to use one set of policies and actions to reduce greenhouse gas and air pollutant emissions in Jinan City, the capital of Shandong Province. The province is one of China’s manufacturing powerhouses.

In March 2022, with support from Energy Foundation China, the Chinese Academy of Environmental Planning and the Chengdu Academy of Environmental Protection Science jointly released this strategy report for reaching air quality standards and carbon emissions peaking in Chengdu, a bustling city of 21 million people.

In March 2022, the CECEP Environmental Consulting Group published two reports about China’s financial sector: one evaluates how climate-friendly the banks are, and the other proposes how to calculate banks’ carbon emissions. The two reports were written under one research project, with the support of Energy Foundation China.

In March 2022, China National Institute of Standardization released this research report analyzing how to address the key Issues if China plans to set up and enforce vehicle emissions recalls. The research was conducted with the support of Energy Foundation China.

In March 2022, the Hainan Academy of Environmental Sciences and the Institute of Atmospheric Physics at the Chinese Academy of Sciences jointly released this research report about how the island province that has already enjoyed highest-level air quality in China can further reduce its air pollution in the next five years. The report was written with the support of Energy Foundation China.

In 2021, Energy Foundation China supported the Institutes of Science and Development, Chinese Academy of Science to research on how to strengthen the enforcement of Air Quality Attainment Plans in Chinese cities. Their findings were released in this report in September 2021.

In January 2022, the Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment at the London School of Economics and Political Science published this paper with support from Energy Foundation China, analyzing internationalism in climate action and China’s role within it.

In December 2021, with support from Energy Foundation China, the Harbin Institute of Technology released this report presenting how Chinese cities can meet their goals for climate change, air quality, and economic growth at the same time.
