Finance Director

Mr. Peter Kodzis serves as the Finance Director for The Energy Foundation, overseeing all U.S. finance operations. He ensures strong financial processes, accurate reporting, regulatory compliance, quality control, and effective data management. He also provides expert guidance to maintain the highest standards of compliance with U.S. tax laws and donor requirements.

Previously, Mr. Kodzis served as Chief Financial Officer for the San Francisco Housing Development Corporation, a nonprofit real estate development organization. Before that, he was the Chief Financial Officer at Grid Alternatives, an international nonprofit dedicated to expanding access to solar energy.

Mr. Kodzis holds a Master of Business Administration (Executive Management Program) from Saint Mary’s College of California and a Master’s degree in Marine Transportation from Gdynia Maritime University in Poland.
