I am delighted to announce that Bernice Lee, Executive Director of the Hoffmann Centre for Sustainable Resource Economy, has joined the Energy Foundation’s China Committee.

Bernice, a renowned expert on sustainable development, environmental issues, and climate change, has spent years working in China. She also is our committee’s first member with extensive experience in Europe, which will help EF China take a more active stance in multilateral collaboration on climate governance and low carbon transition.

Prior to her current position, Bernice served as director of climate change and resource security initiatives at the World Economic Forum, and research director for Energy, Environment, and Resources at Chatham House. She was team leader for the EU-China Interdependencies on Energy and Climate Security Project and has held positions at the International Centre for Trade and Sustainable Development in Geneva, the Aga Khan Foundation (UK), the Strategic Planning Unit of the UN Secretary-General's office in New York, and the Rockefeller Foundation. She also has served as a member of the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation’s Climate Change Advisory Board. (Read her full bio here.)

Bernice’s credentials and insights make her a valuable addition to the China Committee. We look forward to her guidance on energy and environmental policy issues in China and globally.
