Water Price, Water Resources Tax, and Green Development Based on Water Restraints

In July 2019, the World Resources Institute released this report with support from Energy Foundation China. Researchers analyzed latest water price policies and regulations in China, and summarized international experience on imposing and enforcing water price and water resources fee/tax, in hopes of making well-balanced policy recommendations to China. This is the first study that China’s water price policies have been systematically analyzed from an international perspective, with policy recommendations for the green development of water resources and energy.
