UK-China Climate and Environmenal Information Disclosure Pilot: 2019 Progress Report

In 2020, the Green Finance Committee of the Chinese Society for Finance and Banking and the City of London expanded their joint pilot of environmental information disclosure from 9 to 13 Chinese and British financial institutions, with support from Energy Foundation China. This report summarizes the progress of the pilot in its second year, describes the current status of the participating institutions, and provides an outlook for the work in the next year.
The environmental information disclosure research behind this report can help establish an important mechanism to incentivize financial institutions to fulfill their corporate social responsibility.
