In January 2022, the Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment at the London School of Economics and Political Science published this paper with support from Energy Foundation China, analyzing internationalism in climate action and China’s role within it.

This paper examines China’s domestic and foreign policymaking for the energy transition, and its role in promoting multilateralism and international collaboration on building a sustainable world.

Through proposing recommendations for China to accelerate the energy transition, this paper aims to help China enhance its participation and leadership in the global low carbon campaign.
