Deputy Chief Representative
Ms. Ruiying Zhang has served as Deputy Chief Representative of the Energy Foundation Beijing Office since March 2010. She supports the Chief Representive in leading EF China Operation. Ms. Zhang joined the Energy Foundation in 2000, managing a grant portfolio including both industry and buildings energy efficiency initiatives. Ruiying Zhang has more than 25 years of experience in the areas of energy, economy , energy efficiency and climate change policy. Prior to joining the Energy Foundation, she worked at the Beijing Economic Research Institute of Water Resources and Electrical Power, the former State Planning Commission (seconded) and the China Energy Conservation Investment Corporation. She has twice received a 2nd prize from the Former Ministry of Electrical Power Industry in its Science and Technology Progress Award program.
Ruiying Zhang received her bachelor‘s degree in Energy and Power Engineering from Xi’an Jiaotong University and master degree of Economics from China Central University of Finance and Economics, and has been a visiting scholar at the University of British Columbia in Canada and Stanford University in the United States.
