The Development Research Center of the State Council assembled leading energy research institutes in China to research and recommend a National Comprehensive Energy Strategy and Policy for China. The team produced a summary report and 11 sub-reports covering the following issues, which can be downloaded below: (1) evaluation of the energy strategy in 1980-2000; (2) projected energy demand (2000-2020); (3) restructuring and optimization of the energy supply mix; (4) energy conservation and energy efficiency; (5) energy security; (6) energy, environment, and public health; (7) climate change; (8) renewable energy development; (9) macro-economic analysis and market reform strategies; (10) energy technology development; and (11) clean coal technology development.
